NC4H Fundraising Breakfast

December 22, 2018 Events 0

The Napier Centre 4 Healing’s last fundraising breakfast for the year was held on 4 December at the Golden Horse Casino in Pietermaritzburg. The event was a great success, with R157,860 raised in pledges! But we’re not ready to open our doors just yet.

The vibrant fundraiser was attended by close to 100 guests, consisting of His Eminence Cardinal Wilfred Napier OFM, members of the Catholic community and surrounding Parishes, business owners, members of the public, NPO representatives and of course the Napier Centre 4 Healing team.

The event kicked off with a delicious buffet breakfast, followed by a welcoming address by event MC, Rev Deacon Mark Wardell of Parish of Our Lady of Lourdes in Westville, Durban. Cardinal Wilfred Napier OFM then gave his opening address, followed by a presentation on the Napier Centre 4 Healing by Fr Stephen Tully (NC4H Director) and Mark Fynn (NC4H Co-Fundraiser).

The breakfast was a great opportunity to not only fill our bellies but to connect with the wider community and share the Napier Centre 4 Healing’s progress, vision, and financial needs. Despite sharing a wall with the temptations of a casino, the event was a great success with R157,860 raised in pledges! However, the centre is yet to reach its fundraising goal if we are to open in early 2019.

If you are still in a position to make a once-off donation to the centre or, alternatively, fund a resident on a monthly basis of R10 000 p/m – we would sincerely appreciate your support during this charitable festive season. Your donation is a step toward healing our communities and actively responding to the street drug crisis in Durban, which effects us all.

If you would like the NC4H to make a visit to your Parish please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Director Stephen Tully at
